Manheim police said it happened at a house on North Queen Street on Nov. 23.

Corey Lee Aaron, 29, started an argument with the victim before snatching their phone and breaking it, a witness told investigators. He then threatened to kill the victim and choked them until they blacked out, police claimed.

When the victim lost consciousness, Aaron performed rescue breaths and chest compressions until they woke up, authorities said.

That's when police say Aaron "started arguing and strangling them again."

Police said the 29-year-old ignored their commands at the scene and resisted when they searched him. He is charged with felony strangulation, simple assault, terroristic threats, and related counts, according to court records.

Aaron was unable to post his $100,000 bail and is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing on Dec. 7.
